Mohamed Salah Stays at Liverpool

Mohamed Salah has decided to prolong his contract run at Liverpool. The Egyptian player has signed an extended contract at Liverpool. The player has signed a 3-year contract, which means he will be playing for the same club until 2025.

With the contract extension, Mohamed Salah has put an end to all the speculations and rumors surrounding the player’s possible move to a different club.

The speculations started coming when Liverpool sold one of their star players, Sadio Mane. Mane had earned himself the title of being a legendary asset to the club ever since his joining back in 2016.

However, Liverpool sold their winger/forward player at a transfer fee of £27.4 million. The South African player has signed a 3-year contract with Bayern Munich and will be playing for them until 2025.

Coming back to Salah, following Mane’s transfer, fans started talking about Salah’s potential move to Real Madrid. Others had speculated that Salah was in talks with Chelsea over his possible move to the club.

Now, the situation has changed entirely and the Liverpool fans will be able to watch one of their favorite players on the field for the next 3-years.

However, the contract extension signed by the player is proving to be very promising as Salah will now be getting £350,000 per week. This makes him the highest-paid player in the history of Liverpool. In addition to the weekly wages, Salah is also eligible for the incentivized bonuses he accumulates from scoring and demonstrating strong performance.

The negotiations in regards to Salah’s contract extension took place between Ramy Abbas Issa and Mike Gordon. Issa is Salah’s lawyer while Gordon is the FSG president and the final paperwork was completed by both individuals.

The breakdown of the deal consists of a £12.9 million initial transfer fee followed by add-ons that are worth £2.6 million.

Throughout his career in Liverpool, the player made 55 appearances and scored 14 goals for the club. Minamino has reportedly signed a 4-year contract with Monaco, which is to end by 2026.
