Arsenal to Offload 11 Players

Arsenal’s current manager, Mikel Arteta seems to be determined in proceeding with the major cull at the club. The former Spanish footballer is ready to make big changes to the club as he plans on offloading 11 players.

The inside sources have reported that the player Arteta wants to offload is all from the squad that partook in the American pre-season tour that took place last week.

It is being claimed that the players Arteta has on the discarding list include Reiss Nelson, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Lucas Torreira, Pablo Mari, Nicolas Pepe, and Hector Bellerin. All these players are part of regulars from the former first team.

Barcelona Ready to Bring in Bernardo Silva

As the transfer window opened, Bernardo Silva was on the shortlist of Barcelona. However, with all other acquisitions, the club was not left with enough funds to acquire any more players.

However, the recent move by Joan Laporta, the president of Barcelona has proven to be a game changer. Joan Laporta reportedly sold a quarter of their TV studios’ ownership to Socios.com.

According to the sources, Barcelona has sold 25% of its total ownership to Socios.com, which is a major cryptocurrency firm. Barcelona has made £85 million out of the deal and it will be using the funds to pursue Bernardo Silva’s acquisition

Bernardo Silva is currently playing for Manchester City as a midfielder. Manchester City had demanded £67 million for the Portuguese who have been playing for the club since 2017.

If all goes well, Barcelona will be able to add the 27-year-old midfielder to their squad.

Roma Gets Eric Bailly

Roma’s Jose Mourinho had been after Eric Bailly from Manchester United. The former Manchester United manager had tried his best to bring the player onto his squad. Jose Mourinho finally had his wish come true with the support from Sevilla.

There are high chances that Eric Bailly may get reunited with his former manager, Jose Mourinho.

Roma Gets to Keep Tammy Abraham

Even before the transfer window opened, it was speculated that Tammy Abraham was going to move back to Chelsea from his current club, Roma. Many even claimed that there were talks between Tammy Abraham and Chelsea regarding the player’s return to the club at a transfer fee of £67 million.

However, Abraham has rejected all such rumors making it clear that he is going nowhere from Roma. The player has stated that he is very glad to be at Roma so he has no plans of going back to Chelsea anytime soon.

The 24-year-old English footballer made his professional football debut in Chelsea back in 2016. Since his debut, the player was on loan out to multiple clubs including Bristol City, Swansea City, and Aston Villa.
