- “Beginner’s mind” creates room for discovery. If your mind is already made up it is difficult to learn. An “expert mind” can be especially limiting when there is a desire for personal growth. Mindfulness asks us to approach our inner work with a “beginner’s mind”, much like a young child with curiosity and playfulness. This friendly environment naturally welcomes discovery and insight.
- Inner silence allows greater listening. As we allow ourselves to release tension and relax into the guided meditation, it helps to create a quiet space in our hearts. In this open space, we can better hear the wisdom of our inner voice. The embodied wisdom within is finally free to speak up and be heard. This sacred space of deep connectedness allows us to intuitively create in our art journals, making visual discoveries and embracing “magical coincidences” through the use of collage images, text, and mindful art doodling.
