Since TikTok is an international app, it can also be a great way to promote a band’s music in other countries, such as getting K-Pop bands more noticed in western countries like the United States. Mostly, TikTok seems to be focusing on more authenticity, promoting bands and singers with real and emotional backgrounds who have worked hard to promote their music.

The publishing industry is also finding that TikTok is changing the way they operate. TikTok is the perfect app for book lovers to share their favorites and meet like-minded communities and people. Reviewing new and favorite books could make many people famous on the app.
Some smaller indie and first-time writers thought they could take advantage of this by using the review videos and what is now known as “BookTok”, to promote their stories, potential stories, and the progress being made on their books. It has worked out well for some, and a lot of fans have ended up flocking to books and authors outside of what was being promoted by big publishing companies.
A lot of books that have been promoted on TikTok consistently have ended up becoming best sellers, whether they were from big writers or not. However, some famous authors have been called out for publishing bad or half-hearted books, with a series of bad and honest reviews, so people know what is worth reading and what isn’t.
BookTok doesn’t just focus on new books and authors either. It has always been a way for fans to reintroduce their favorite books from childhood or books they think other people would like, giving older, lesser-known books a lot more attention in recent years.

Influencers on TikTok can totally change the game, bringing back classic movies. Even movies that weren’t noticed much upon release can easily hit the top 10 if influencers start to mention them.
Many times, these influencers will mention a movie along with a challenge. For example, people record themselves reacting to a twist halfway through or the dramatic final ending. This gets other influencers and content creators on the trend, and it can also get their followers to watch the movie.
While this works well for once-forgotten movies, it can also have an influence on newer movies. Influencers can be paid to go and watch a new movie and talk about it, or to just promote the movie to all of their fans.
This can be done directly, where they sit and talk about the movie and why they are excited to watch it or what they like about it. However, it can also be done in more subtle ways such as using the soundtrack from the movie or a scene from it as part of their content.
