We’ve got some quality-of life-changes from Jagex that will make Old School RuneScape even better.
Jagex is bringing even more quality-of-life changes to Old School RuneScape, which was previously voted by the community with Poll 79. They are all meant to give you an easier time when you engage in various activities around Gielinor, such as the Guardians of the Rift, Chambers of Xeric, or venture into the Wilderness.
Abyssal Lantern
While Jagex initially polled the Guardians of the Rift reward, the Abyssal lantern, as obtainable from the reward shop, one of the surprises the players faced when the minigame was launched was that they could only get this offhand that makes the minigame more efficient only as an RNG drop directly from the rift and that it could be bought using the minigame’s currency: abyssal pearls. One of the changes that come with poll 79 is that you will now be able o buy the lantern for pearls. However, it costs 1500 abyssal pearls, equivalent to only 1.5 mil OSRS GP if you buy the tradeable rewards from the minigame’s shop. However, that would not be advisable due to how long it takes to collect pearls.
Slepey Sablet
The Slepey tablet is an item that will allow you to add a teleport to your Drakan’s medallion, which will allow you to teleport at the Nightmare. The tablet is untradeable and can only be obtained as a rare drop from Phosani’s Nightmare, and it is now a guaranteed drop at the 100th kill to protect you from bad luck.
Loot Tracker
The loot tracker and XP tracker have been added to the C++ and mobile client, and this is a considerable quality-of-life change for anyone using these specific clients. However, to check out the OSRS gold price, you must look for an online marketplace with active listings.
Tithe Farm
The tithe farm minigame has been changed to a solo instance, and you will also be able to take more seeds inside and be rewarded more consistently with a slightly higher point per hour rate than before. Taking more seeds at once inside means you can do the minigame without interrupting to go outside and take more seeds. You will also obtain more Bologa’s blessings for each point (the amount has been doubled), and as an ironman, you can obtain herb boxes straight from the minigame’s rewards shop.
Looting Bag
The looting bag is an essential item dropped by any monster in the Wilderness, which allows you to store more of your loot which you can later take out at a bank. It is a Wilderness item, and you can only fill it while in the Wilderness. However, this bag was very inaccessible to ultimate ironman. You can now purchase the bag from any Slayer master in exchange for 10 Slayer points.
Trouver Parchment
This item will help you not lose certain items in the wilderness on death. Many players use them on their fire capes to benefit from wearing the second-best melee cape without fearing losing it when engaging in Wilderness content. You can either get them from LMS or the Wilderness Slayer cave monsters. With this change, Jagex modified the drop table so that on the rare occasions when you drop a Trouver parchment, you’ll get two instead.
Chambers of Xeric
Chambers of Xeric received a new storage chest for the lobby, so it’s even easier to get your gear ready in case you forgot something. You’ll also be able to stock up in the Great Olm antechamber before the raid starts, so you’ll ultimately waste less time and get more of the raid.
Scaly Blue Dragonhides
This item can obtain a note with 50 blue dragon scales. It has been added as an extra drop on the drop table of all the tiers of Blue dragons: baby blue dragons with a rate of 1 in 100 kills, blue dragons with a rate of 1 in 50, brutal blue dragons with a rate of 1 in 33, and Vorkath with a rate of 1 in 10.
Revenants
The revenants have finally received a slayer task extension, allowing you to get 100 to 150 revenants per task.
Swampbark Armour
The Swampbark armour has received a buff polled in poll 79. You will no longer need to wear the full set to receive the set effect, but only the helm, body, and legs. Each piece of the armour will increase the duration of bind, snare, and entangle spells by one additional game tick.
Bloodbark Armour
The Bloodbark armour has also been buffed and will now give you a healing percentage of 2% instead of 1.5% for each piece you wear. Read More
